Benjamin Bonzi claimed the first level title at the Moselle Open in Metz.

Benjamin Bonzi defeated Cameron Norrie 7-6(6), 6-4 to lift his first ATP Tour title at home at the Moselle Open in Metz on Saturday.

Backed by a rousing home crowd, Bonzi produced an impressive performance on serve, firing 10 aces and winning 75 percent (45/60) of his first points. The French player entered the tournament with a record of 0-6 this season, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index.

Playing against Norrie for the first time, Bonzi took a 1-0 lead in the pair’s Lexus ATP Head2Head series. He will move up to No. 78 in the PIF ATP Live Rankings, after starting the week at No. 124.
