Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has filed a new bail application, saying that changed circumstances, along with new evidence, mean the hip-hop star should be allowed to prepare for his trial in a foreign prison.
On Friday, Combs’ attorneys filed a motion in Manhattan federal court, where his previous requests for bail have been denied by two judges since his arrest in September.
Combs was charged with conspiracy, sex trafficking, fraud or coercion, and transportation for prostitution in an indictment filed Sept. 17. If convicted, she faces up to 15 years in prison or life in prison. in prison.

That evidence, attorneys said, refutes the government’s claim that the March 2016 video showing Combs hitting his then-girlfriend happened during a “chaotic,” sexually charged incident described in the lawsuit against Combs.

“It confirms the defense’s initial interpretation of the events depicted in the March 2016 video recording: The video is not evidence of forced ‘outrage,’ but a minute-by-minute glimpse into the complex but ten-year consensual relationship between Mr. Combs and Victim-1,” the petition said.

Lawyers argue that the prison conditions Combs is facing Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn violated his constitutional rights to participate in his defense.

Combs has pleaded not guilty and strongly denies the allegations. His trial will begin on May 5, 2025.
