NBA world expresses concern over former Thunder player, Pistons forward Kyle Singler after cryptic Instagram post

The world of the NBA showed concern for one of the former players, Kyle Singler, who posted a private video on Instagram saying that he feared for his life.

Singler, who played at Duke before playing six seasons in the NBA, was shirtless in the video he posted and spoke softly.

“I’ve been mistreated and abused, ignored, made an example of,” said Singler. “And I fear for my life every day. And people in my neighborhood make me look like I’m going to be a problem and make things difficult for people if I’m just trying to help.

“I feel like I have a certain way about me and a strength and a purpose that is not appreciated or treated properly.”

Several NBA players commented on the video, which was cut off after 90 seconds.

“I love you Kyle. Hit me anytime. Please,” said Miami Heat’s Kevin Love.

“You’re not alone, brother! I’m here for you,” said Andre Drummond of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Isaiah Thomas added, “Here’s to you brother! Always and forever.”

Love also posted on social media, urging people to help the singler.

“To everyone who spent time with Kyle Singler and the lives he touched – please send him the love and support he needs+deserves. I wouldn’t be who I am today without him. I am forever indebted and love him. To the NBA family, the Duke BB family, and the Southern community Medford – let’s show ours,” Love wrote.

Singler was a second-round pick out of Duke in 2011 by the Detroit Pistons, where he spent several seasons before being traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder during the 2014-15 campaign.

Singler spent the next three full seasons there and has not played in an NBA game since the 2017-18 season.
