Jaylen Brown and Nike Beef Increase After Giannis’ Comments

Nike and Jaylen Brown have a huge beef, which was reignited after Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brown clashed at the Bucks-Celtics game earlier this week.

In case you missed it, Giannis elbowed Brown in the head and then happily took him out with a fake handshake.

After the game, Brown didn’t find it funny at all.

“Giannis is a kid,” Jaylen said. “I am focused on helping my team to win. That’s what we did tonight.”

The Greek Freak assured everyone that his actions were ridiculous and said that he had joked with Brown on the court before.

“Oh, is that what he said?,” Giannis said. “He said I was a child. I thought I was complimenting him. … I try to be around my kids a lot, my nephews, and sometimes when I’m on the court, I play with things like that. But, like I said, I think he’s a fantastic player, but I’ll continue to be myself.”

Now, Nike is involved. Brown has a history of disagreements with the sneaker giant and even said that his Olympic robbery was because of Nike.

The brand took to social media to cheer on the Celtics star after Giannis dropped a MONSTER 59 points (five shy of his career high of 64) and pulled down 14 rebounds to lead the Bucks to a 127-120 overtime win over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.

Brown is active in social media, so it didn’t take long for him to see the post and respond.

The Finals MVP’s beef with Nike appears to have started when former Celtics teammate Kyrie Irving was fired from the company and subsequent comments from Nike co-founder Phil Knight.

“Kyrie crossed the line, it’s that simple,” Knight said. “He recently made statements that we cannot comply with, that’s why we cut off the relationship.”

Brown took to social media to tweet about it, “Since when did Nike care about ethics?” he wrote at the time.
