The injury to Chiefs’ Harrison Butker has sparked women’s celebrations and the Trump Cabinet is plotting on social media.
The Buffalo Bills aren’t the only beneficiaries of Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker’s knee.
News of Butker’s injury broke Thursday evening ahead of Sunday’s Chiefs-Bill showdown, and, for many liberals unhappy with the results of the recent election, the news was a relief and a reason to cheer on social media.
Many social media users have written to celebrate Butker’s injury, referring to the kicker’s previous comments about the benefits of women accepting domestic roles as mothers and wives and his support for Trump.
The widely circulated post was captioned, “Women saw Harrison Butker hurt,” attached to a video of the television audience standing up and cheering wildly.

One user wrote, “Please take all of Harrison Butker’s pain and stay where it belongs.”
Some users took the injury as an opportunity to bash Butker’s manhood.
Another text said, “real men don’t miss a job.”
“Too busy kneeling for Trump huh,” another post said.
However, some fans stepped up to defend Butker from the harsh responses.
“In any case, Chiefs fans who celebrate Butker’s injury because of ‘politics’ will look for another team because we don’t need such power,” another fan wrote.
Others used the injury as an opportunity to push conspiracy theories and joke that Booker was a Trump Cabinet pick.

One user jokingly wrote, “Donald Trump announces that Harrison Butker will lead the Department of Women’s Rights and Home Affairs.”
One user falsely wrote, “He’s been holding out for a few weeks hoping for the cabinet position of ‘Director of Family Services’.”
The jokes and false claims about Butker come amid recent announcements of Trump’s Cabinet picks, many of which have been hailed with controversy. The nominations of Matt Gaetz as attorney general, Pete Hegseth as secretary of defense and Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to lead the new Department of Labor have been among the most discussed positions in recent days.

Butker endorsed Trump and Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley in the recent election. The kicker announced his Upright PAC and Hawley, receiving praise from Chiefs owner Clark Hunt.
The striker’s political transition was accelerated after he spoke about women and their jobs during his debut. address at Benedictine College.
“Some of you may be doing well in the world but I think that most of you are really enjoying your marriage and the children you will bring into this world. I can tell you that my wife is beautiful. Isabelle will be first to say that her life really began when she began to live her career as a wife and as a mother,” Butker said at the time.
Immediately after the speech, Butker’s jersey sales skyrocketed. His jersey ranked 11th in NFL sales, from March 1 to May 31, the NFLPA said.
However, Butker’s speech also provoked a bitter and frequent backlash from many in the mainstream media. Washington Post columnist Sally Jenkins mocked Butker for being a kicker after making the remarks, while NBC’s “Today” host Hoda Kotb scolded the kicker, telling him to “not speak for women.”
Butker later told Fox News host Laura Ingraham that she was “sad” some people took her words “in a bad light”.
“I was trying to talk about the lives of many women who have dedicated their lives to being a housewife, being the one who raises children. And it is a good role, but it is not a role that should be reduced,” he explained.
“There is nothing shameful if you are a woman, and you want to spend time with your family and raise your children. Therefore, it does not put anyone down who maybe wants to get a higher education and have a job.
“But there’s been a lot of talk about how good it is for women to maybe just put their families aside and spend time with their kids and raise their families. And that’s what I was trying to talk about is love.”
