CHARLESTON, SC — College of Charleston coach Chad Holbrook is still frustrated when the topic turns to his team’s elimination from the NCAA Tournament last season, and who can blame him?
The Cougars were 41-14 overall and 21-5 in the CAA, winning their second regular-season conference title in three years. In short, it was a throwback to some of the vintage College of Charleston teams from years past, including the best teams in the region in 2006 under John Pawlowski, the architect of the program in many ways, and in 2014 under Monte Lee.
