Here are the affected dates
Norwegian Cruise Line has canceled nearly five months of sailings on three ships.
The cruise line has dropped sailings between November 2025 and April 2026 on its Norwegian Dawn, Norwegian Star and Norwegian Jewel ships. The following dates were affected:
-
The Norwegian Dawn: Nov. 2, 2025, up to and including April 12, 2026
-
Norwegian Star: Nov. 20, 2025, up to and including April 14, 2026
-
The Norwegian Jewel: Nov. 23, 2025, up to and including April 5, 2026
The line cited “reshipping” as the reason for the change in letters sent to passengers and cruise partners on Thursday, the company shared with USA TODAY.

“At times, scheduled itineraries may need to be canceled, allowing us the opportunity to introduce enhanced cruises that meet strong guest demand and provide a more immersive experience,” the letters read. “While unfortunately cancellations may occur, please be assured that we are always working hard to provide you with world-class vacations to bucket list destinations. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment this cancellation may cause.”
Your cruise has been cancelled: So what?
Affected guests will receive a full refund of their fare and a 10% credit on a future cruise.
The news comes after Norwegian canceled more than a dozen sailings on seven ships scheduled for 2025 earlier this year. Cruise cancellations are rare, but may include other reasons, such as full ship charters or when the ship needs to go into dry dock.
