It’s so cold, some snow piled up during the week!
If you think it’s cold now, wait until the end of this week, the Arctic Blast is on its way! Normally, we should be in the upper 40s this time of year. Highs will continue in the upper 30s to low 40s through Wednesday. Mostly dry Tuesday with some late night flooding. No accruals are expected. However, the system we’re looking at Wednesday night/Thursday morning may bring some light accumulation to inland areas. Up to 2″ is possible–just enough to cause slippery surfaces on your Thursday morning commute. With the arrival of arctic air comes snow flurries Thursday afternoon/night. Noon highs won’t get out of the 20s on Friday with wind chills all day in the teens!
Tonight: Mostly clear and cold with lows in the twenties and early 20s.
Tuesday: Frosty / Frosty starts again. A mix of sun and clouds, breezy, unseasonably cold with a chance of afternoon showers. Highs in the upper 30s and low 40s.
Wednesday: Increasing clouds with highs in the 30s to low 40s. Light snow is expected overnight with an inch or two inland by dawn. Combine by the shore.
Thursday: A smooth start inland with some snow/snow still falling. It gradually dries up with increasing air. Highs and lows to mid-40s, then fall. Afternoon/evening scattered snow with an influx of Arctic Air!
Friday: Partly cloudy, windy, and very cold. Highs in the mid 20s to mid 30s. Cold wind sometimes in youth!
Saturday: Scattered snow showers. Cold. Highs in the mid 20s to mid 30s.
Sunday: Scattered clouds, light air, and more season. High levels 30 to 40.
