College basketball fans are very upset with Loyola Chicago men’s basketball after the players appeared to disrespect team chaplain Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt following their big win over Eastern Michigan on Tuesday night.
The Ramblers remained undefeated beating the Eagles 76-54 at home, but fans on social media were left speechless after a video went viral showing several players walking past beloved Sister Jean as they left the field.

Sister Jean, who turned 105 on August 21, was sitting in a wheelchair right in front of the tunnel with her fist raised. But, as some on social media said, the players left him “hanging”.
“How can you leave Sister Jean hanging like this?!?’ Barstool host Dan Katz, aka “Big Cat,” said in a post on X.
“There is one rule in college basketball that must be followed: NEVER ignore Sister Jean,” one person wrote online.

“I know he probably didn’t care but it hurts my feelings,” read another post.
Sister Jean began her career at Loyola Chicago in 1991 as an academic advisor, but is best known for her role as a team instructor, which she began a few years later in 1994. Since then, he has not only become a household name. in Chicago, but to all college basketball fans.

Loyola Chicago is currently in second place in the Atlantic 10 with a 7-0 record. They won 5-3 South Florida Bulls on Saturday.
