AlBarakah’s Arabian Nights feast is resplendent with authentic halal flavors

Like a fairy tale coming true, AlBarakah, the new name to be coined for authentic halal food in the country, was recently launched in the Philippines with an outdoor Arabian Nights-themed festival at the Crowne Plaza in Ortigas Center. Dubbed “An Arabian Nights Feast,” the glitzy event had guests decked out in their traditional Muslim attire as they sampled AlBarakah’s fine offerings.

The centerpiece of the culinary spread was AlBarakah ground beef and hash ground beef, its rich flavor paired with the company’s protein bites and nutritious coffee options such as 3-in-1 brown coffee and white coffee. Of course, all meals were certified as halal, which means “lawful” in Islamic teachings, to ensure that they would be enjoyed by all Muslims present.

AlBarakah CEO Ameerah Tamundong recounted that she knew first hand the challenges of sourcing halal ingredients and food in the Philippines. “I and other Muslims didn’t always have an easy time sticking to our dietary laws,” she said. “We wanted to eliminate that problem for all our fellow Muslims by providing an easily accessible source of great tasting and healthy halal products.”

However, Tamundong sees AlBarakah as the leading food brand for all Filipinos. AlBarakah therefore casts a wide net to reach consumers beyond the Pinoy Muslim communities.

“Delicious food is one of the most universal languages ​​in Pinoy,” said Tamundong. “And at AlBarakah, first and foremost, we make delicious food. Besides ensuring the satisfaction of my fellow Muslims, we also hope to offer new and tasty options to Pinoy foodies in search of delicious food.”
