Goyal Salt will set up a large plant at Gandhidham with an investment of Rs 80 crore

Goyal Salt Limited, a salt-intensive FMCG player, is investing R80 crore to set up a large scale salt manufacturing plant at Gandhidham near the salt capital of Kutch with a capacity of 4, 50,000 MT. Spread over an area of ​​12 hectares, this plant is in the trial phase and is expected to be operational by the end of January 2025. With this plant, Goyal Salt will become a major player in natural salt in India.

Apart from the Gandhidham plant, the company has one unit at Nawa City spread over 15 acres dedicated exclusively to salt refining, storage of crude salt, and packaging of refined salt with a capacity of 2,10,000 MT pa.

Goyal Salt manufactures premium industrial and edible salts, including Triple Refined Free Iodized Salt, Industrial Salt, Double Fortified Salt, and Triple Refined Half Dry Salt. It has built a strong presence in North India, including Bihar, Delhi, Haryana, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal. It is eyeing a place among the top 3 salt producers in India, as it continues to strengthen production in the western part of the country, such as Maharashtra and Gujarat.
