Rayhan Demytrie sees “anger and frustration” after the election of a new president

Crowds of protestors gathered outside the Georgian parliament to oppose the appointment of a new president.
The BBC’s Rayhan Demytrie saw protesters kicking a football after Mikheil Kavelashvili, a former Manchester City footballer turned ultra-conservative politician, was named Georgia’s next president.
The protests were caused by the ruling Georgian Dream party’s decision to suspend the EU accession talks until 2028. Hundreds of people have been arrested across the country, journalists are among those injured by the security forces.
