Dog Kidnapped From Stolen Truck Later Dies

It really shouldn’t shock anyone to learn that car thieves are really selfish people. With rare exceptions, they don’t care who or what they hurt as long as they get what they want, which is your car. A family in Calgary, Canada found this out the hard way when a three-year-old German Shepherd named Rosco was kidnapped when someone stole the family’s truck.

Watch all hell break loose after a stolen car goes over the edge.

Tragically, Rosco was later found injured on the side of the road. He had been hit by a car. The Good Samaritan took the German Shepherd to the vet, but sadly it was too late. Rosco is yet another victim of the growing car theft trend in Canada.

According to CBC, Rosco was inside a Toyota Tundra parked outside the family’s home in Lakeview SW, Calgary on the morning of October 25 when someone stole the car and the dog. His family offered a $5,000 reward for his safe return, however it seems whoever stole the truck decided to just dump the pooch on the side of the road.

The family requested that their beloved dog be dropped off at the vet’s office or shelter, no questions asked. But most car thieves are not known for being considerate. After all, most of these criminals have realized that stealing people’s cars at gunpoint is much easier than breaking in without keys. Sometimes that ends with one or all of the victims being shot.

As dog owners this story makes us angry. But we see stories like this all the time. We wish people would understand that car thieves do not steal bread to feed their families, they are not “honorable thugs”, and they do not care about you or anyone else.
