DA’s Hike Alert: Jharkhand hikes employee allowances by 3%
DA Climb Warning: The Jharkhand government on Tuesday increased the government allowance (DA) of its employees to 53 percent of the basic salary from the existing 50 percent, effective from July 1 this year, an official said.
Pensioner benefits were also increased by 3 percentage points to 53 percent.
The proposal regarding increase in DA for government employees and welfare of pensioners was approved in the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
The hike will benefit more than three lakh employees and pensioners in the state, officials said.
There are 10 proposals passed by the cabinet, including the approval of Rs 99.56 million for a multidisciplinary education and research university (MERU) at Vinoba Bhave University (VBU), Hazaribagh, under the Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan.
