Government extends duty-free import of yellow peas until Feb 2025
The government has extended duty and MIP (minimum import price) exemption for yellow peas till February next year.
However, imports are subject to registration under the online Import Monitoring System, as soon as possible, for all imported goods where a Bill of Lading (Shipping on Board) is issued on or before 28 February 2025.
“The production of yellow peas…is free without MIP status and not restricted at the port, subject to registration under the online import monitoring system, which will be effective immediately, for all imported goods where a bill of lading (shipped on board) is issued on or before on 28 February 2025,” the director general of foreign trade (DGFT) said in a notification.
