Steph Curry in his NBA career
Steph Curry has once again been outspoken about how much time he has left in the league, but this quote is pretty bad.
Curry, 36, recently told ESPN’s Malika Andrews that he’s thinking about retirement “more than I ever have.”
He added, “It’s okay to accept and admit that the end is near. But only because it allows you to enjoy what is happening right now. But I think the more you talk about it and the more you admit it, the more there is a sense of urgency in the moment, now. “
Curry is in his 16th year in the league and the Warriors-Lakers Christmas Day game may be one of the last times we see Steph and LeBron James paired together on a special day.
In the same interview, Andrews this week brought up James’ recent comments about the NBA’s viewership and that the league is “shooting a lot of f–king threes.”
Curry replied, “I mean, everybody has an opinion. It’s not like I can go out and do a 360 windmill and drive down the track and sink into someone else. So for me, I will never fight the 3-point shot. That’s just how I see the game. That’s how I’ve seen the game forever. But everyone has a different perspective and certain skills that have started to enter the league. See how many giants reign at the bottom of the post, and it’s almost overwhelming. And the cool part is, the defenses fix it. And it takes time for that to happen, so we’ll see how it goes.
“But I’ll keep shooting threes, so don’t worry about that.”
