Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Governor Jishnu Dev Varma expressed grief over the demise of Dr Singh.

“The Government of Telangana deeply saddened by the death of Shri Manmohan Singh, the former Prime Minister of India on 26-12-2024 and as a mark of respect to the late leader, has decided to declare a holiday in all government offices and educational institutions on 27-12-2024 and to observe a state mourning of seven days, ” read the official order.

Additionally, the National flag will be at half-mast during the national mourning period, it noted.
