Remember when Trump picked Matt Gaetz to be attorney general?
To the editor: Former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), who was Donald Trump’s first choice for attorney general, has been accused by the House Ethics Committee of “regularly” paying for sex, including with a 17-year-old girl, and using illegal drugs.
The big picture is how our future president handles key administration appointees.
No red flags when Gaetz was appointed as the country’s top law enforcement officer? Really?

In the editor: First Step: The House Ethics Committee releases its report based on nearly four years of investigation into the facts surrounding Gaetz.
Step Two: Jack Smith and the Justice Department’s special prosecutor’s office are required to release a report based on years of investigation into the facts surrounding the Jan. 6 uprising. 2021. If Trump wants to challenge the findings, let him testify under oath.
There is a big difference between Social Truth and reality. Let the American people decide based on the facts.

To the editor: If Gaetz can pay thousands of dollars for sex and drugs out of his congressional salary – as the House Ethics Committee report says – perhaps the president-elect’s Department of Government Operations should consider cutting the salaries of members of Congress.
