Boston police are investigating after a popular restaurant was robbed at gunpoint

An investigation is underway after a popular Boston restaurant was robbed at gunpoint Sunday night, authorities said.

Police were responding to an armed robbery call at Cava at 125 Summer Street in the city block shortly after 10:30 p.m. They spoke to the victim who said he was closing the restaurant when a suspect with a gun approached, according to Boston. Police Department.

Police said the suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the area on foot.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident and no injuries have been reported.

No further details were immediately available.

Cava, a fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant, has more than a dozen locations in Massachusetts.
