A Cowboys cheerleader suffered a gash in the head on a kicking mistake in the last game of the season
The Dallas Cowboys-Washington Commanders Week 18 matchup was exciting right up until the end, but not every game was a great game.
Just ask Cowboys fans.
Brandon Aubrey, the reliable Dallas punter, was preparing for the kickoff, which is typical for his position in the league.

But Aubrey’s attempt to kick the ball was unsuccessful, as it was quickly kicked out to the left, and one of the Cowboys’ kickers was unlucky to catch it.
After an NFL receiver couldn’t catch the ball with one hand, it hit a cheerleader in the back of the head, knocking her to the ground in the shocking incident.
Social media users suspected that Michelle Siemienowski, a first-year cheerleader with Dallas, was the victim.

Fortunately, he got back to his feet and seemed to be laughing about the situation after it happened.
His entire team made sure to check him out, as did Commander punter Tress Way, who was on the field.
Siemienowski made the cheer team in July, writing on Instagram that “it’s been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember” to be part of the popular team.
“This has been a very life changing experience, but this is just the beginning. I am so grateful to say that I have achieved my dreams and got my boots!”
When the game started after this incident, the Cowboys found themselves looking to end the season on a high note, but the Commanders had other things in mind.
Marcus Mariota, who took over for Jayden Daniels at quarterback for the team’s playoff run, knew the players could be in danger when he got the ball with three minutes to play in the fourth quarter.
Washington, down three points, didn’t even think about a game-tying field goal as Mariota found himself on 2nd-and-goal from the Dallas 5-yard line, and threw a fade to Terry McLaurin outside.
McLaurin jumped in the air and intercepted the ball, keeping both feet in bounds to win the game on the final play from scrimmage.

As a result, the Commanders finished the season 12-5, although the Philadelphia Eagles won the division with a 14-3 record. But the win earned them the 6th seed instead of the 7th seed, which would have to travel to Philadelphia to face the Eagles in the wild card round.
Meanwhile, Dallas finishes the season 7-10.
