President-elect Donald Trump has announced that he will declare a national energy emergency on his first day in office, ending President Joe Biden’s restrictions on energy production, ending the mandate for electric vehicles, ending promotion of renewable energy, and canceling Biden’s natural gas exports. prohibition.

This is welcome news. America is facing a national energy emergency because the Biden administration has created a dangerous and dangerous energy situation that is so damaging to ordinary people and our country that it requires immediate action.

Trump can ensure that America does not walk down the same yellow brick road of European energy and climate policies.

BLUE STATE GOVERNING CLIMATE LAW ADVICE TO ‘GET THE LEFT ALIGNED WITH HIM,’ REPORTER SAYS.

The risk of climate change measures is already hurting Europe. Europe’s manufacturing sector is closing due to climate change regulations. Germany has been famous for its industry, but the German industry expects a 3% decrease in production in 2024, the third year of decline, with no increase in 2025.

German workers are losing their jobs due to climate regulations, and auto industry layoffs due to cheap Chinese EV imports.

Biden’s climate change laws need to be changed into commonsense measures to prevent strengthening Chinese workers at the expense of the American people.

His policies caused electricity and transportation costs to rise, fueling inflation. High electricity prices fuel inflation, hurting the poor, small businesses and farmers equally.

What’s worse is that these ill-conceived climate laws are impoverishing Americans and making China richer without reducing emissions or temperatures. Four more years of Democrat green energy policies will saddle the country with subsidies and higher energy costs while only reducing global warming by half a degree by 2100.

Trump’s energy emergency will help reverse the damage caused by Biden.

The Environmental Protection Agency’s final rules require 70% of new vehicles sold by 2032 to be battery-electric or plug-in hybrids, up from 8% today, or face fines and mandatory purchase of credits. These cars are more expensive than petrol cars. The popular Chevy Silverado is $96,000 for the electric, $42,300 for the regular truck.

Auto companies must also comply with California’s vehicle laws, and the California Advanced Clean Car II Act requires all new vehicles sold in the Golden State to be hybrid or clean battery-powered by 2035. because the Clean Air Act does not allow states to set stricter vehicle emissions standards than the federal government.

Another 13 states have signed up to California’s Clean Vehicle II Rules. With the waiver, California and Biden could pressure automakers to stop producing gasoline-powered cars. It appears that Trump will roll back California’s waiver, which allows California to set standards for vehicles across the country.

In order to get electric cars to sell, car companies have to make prices lower and gasoline cars higher. That means ordinary people face higher prices on the trucks, SUVs and minivans they want to buy. Higher new car prices translate into higher used car prices, which in turn increases transportation prices and contributes to inflation.

Residential electricity costs have increased by 32% since January 2021. Since the 50 states, each have their own methods of generating electricity, it is clear that the necessary use of renewable materials leads to higher prices. This is because intermittent energy is more complex to generate than continuous energy. The wind blows for free, and the sun shines for free, but integrating their energy into the electric grid is more complex and expensive than running a natural gas generator continuously.

The average US local electricity price is 17 cents per kilowatt-hour, and prices range from 11 cents per kilowatt-hour in Utah and Louisiana to 33 cents in California. (Hawaii, in the Pacific, has the highest rate.) Of the 10 states with the highest electricity rates, all but one have required the use of renewables. Of the 10 states with the lowest electricity rates, all but one have no renewable requirements.

What’s worse is that these ill-conceived climate laws are impoverishing Americans and making China richer without reducing emissions or temperatures. Four more years of Democrat green energy policies will saddle the country with subsidies and higher energy costs while only reducing global warming by half a degree by 2100.

Trump could end incentives for wind and solar, which reduce electricity generation from natural gas, coal and nuclear power, and send electricity bills higher. He can also end the ban on new natural gas exports, which hurts our allies.

Trump’s urgency makes a lot of sense, because Biden’s solutions to climate change, which he calls an “existential threat,” make people poorer. The emergency is a threat to ordinary people, and Americans are facing higher car prices, higher electricity prices, and job losses in China. This is a national energy emergency.
