The PGA Tour’s first full-field event of the new season brings a host of players looking to get 2025 off to a good start.

While last week’s Sentry featured 59 top players and winners from last season, the Sony Open has a full field of 144 players, many rookies just starting their PGA Tour careers.

And while this week doesn’t include the $20 million purse of last week’s Signature Event, the top finish could still set the tone before the PGA Tour cuts from 125 players to 100 after this season.

And that’s key for someone like Hawaii native Chan Kim, a second-year Tour member who made his first cut this week as a PGA Tour member.

“Like the start of the season, just starting to score, that’s a big confidence boost,” the 15-year-old said on Saturday.

Kim finished in a tie for 53rd this week after a Sunday 68 that would earn him $20,388.50 for his troubles. Nothing wrong, but he starts his year in the coverage column as he heads to the airport to revisit next week’s American Express.

With that said, below is a complete breakdown of this week’s Sony Open pay in Hawaii. The fund totals $8.7 million.
