As he leaves office next week, President Biden will be remembered mostly for his extraordinary inaction. As a new generation of office-bearers in both parties grapple with the dire consequences of his failed leadership, his devastating impact on his party, agenda and voters will cast a long shadow.
Among the many failures, five stand out as cautionary tales for future leaders.
Breathtaking dishonesty
Even in a corrupt political world, Biden stood out for his dishonesty. His administration will be like gaslighting and influence peddling.

He lied about small things – like graduating at the top of his law school class or leadership in a civil rights movement. He lied about personal matters – such as lying that his son died in Iraq, and that members of his family were killed by a drunk driver.
WHY SHOULD WE BE QUESTIONING CRIMES BY THOSE OUTSIDE BIDEN THAT WERE NOT BIDEN’S VIOLENCE
He lied about the obvious, like inflation rates, student loan forgiveness and his promise not to forgive his son’s many crimes. He lied about important issues around the world – like border security, the successful withdrawal from Afghanistan, and his direct involvement in his family’s influence peddling.
Nothing could be trusted by his bosses – not even the job numbers.
He was an absentee president
He dominated the way he campaigned in 2020 – from a symbolic basement. We rarely saw him. Sometimes he chose to talk about a certain subject to spread the word, but he rarely answered questions.

He rarely interacted with the media and when he did, it was with a select few that were previously written. His endless vacations rarely seemed to involve any real work. He showed little familiarity with the facts.
It is not clear how he was restrained in making decisions. He spent about 40% of his time away from the White House.
He did not show leadership
He failed in the basic principles of presidential leadership. Our enemies did not fear us. Our friends are taking advantage of us. Our administration was weaponized against us.

Biden has made no attempt to bridge the political divide. The reason for his nomination was his knowledge of Washington and his promise to unite. There is no evidence that there has been any success in unifying the country.
Rather than laying the foundation for a bright future, he used his political capital to pursue his political opposition. What destroyed his party was his failure to lay the foundation for a new generation of Democratic leadership.

Accept ineffective policies
Even a great leader could not succeed in a system that breeds rampant crime, maintains unprecedented levels of spending, pursues energy policies that damage the economy, and prioritizes foreign aid over American prosperity.

If Democrats have really viable policy ideas, Biden has apparently never embraced them. Immigration, crime, foreign policy, stimulus policies and, of course, the economy failed and were largely rejected by voters four years later.
He destroyed our future
Biden will be remembered for robbing the treasury on his way out the door.
In an undercover video, an EPA adviser described Biden’s handling of climate programs as “dropping gold bars on the Titanic” — a metaphor we’ll likely find used by most of the government in the waning days of the Biden administration.

In a narrow attempt to destroy his successor, Biden has blocked laws banning offshore drilling, committed the United States to expensive climate projects, committed us to protracted international conflicts, flooded the country with millions who exist illegally, and entrenched the faithful. office while ensuring that many do not need to enter the office in the next five years. These efforts not only undermine future administrations, they undermine America’s prosperity.
As bad as everything looks now, the impact of Biden’s failure will set his legacy of failure in stone.
