‘Masterclass’: Bondi flips script on Dem member after suggesting he’ll arm DOJ

Conservatives on social media celebrated For President-elect Trump Attorney General Pam Bondi’s response to Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, DR.I., during his confirmation hearing Wednesday.

“Wouldn’t it be right for the prosecutor to start with a name and look for a crime?” Whitehouse said when he asked questions. “It is the prosecutor’s job to start with the case and look for a name. Are you right?”

Bondi responded by highlighting the federal government’s investigation into Trump.

“Senator, I think that’s the whole problem with guns that we’ve seen in the last four years and what’s been going on with Donald Trump,” Bondi said.

“They targeted Donald Trump. They followed him, they actually started back in 2016. They targeted his campaign. They’ve started a lot of investigations on him. It won’t be like that. If I’m the attorney general, I won’t bring politics into that office.” said Bondi. “I will not target people just because they are members of politics. Justice will be administered equally throughout the country. Senator, we must put this country back together. We must move forward, otherwise we will lose our country.”

Bondi is expected to be confirmed by the US Senate and some have indicated that he will get votes from the Democrats.
