Share Market News, Stocks to Watch: Home equity benchmark Nifty 50 registered marginal gains on Wednesday driven by buying interest in financials and metals stocks even as selling pressure in IT stocks slowed to the upside.
Here are a few stocks to follow in the next session on Dalal Street, January 16.
Salaries
More than 35 companies are scheduled to report their quarterly numbers on Thursday, including Infosys, Axis Bank, Havells India and LTMindtree.
Gas stocks
Power companies like IGL, MGL and Gujarat Gas will be in focus as there will be a major domestic quota that will come into force on Thursday.
CESC and PCBL
Each stock is scheduled to trade ex-dividend on Thursday.
Other Business Activities
And in opening the bell, Regis Industries again Ultracab shares set to tradealienation and prior rights respectively.
HDFC Life
The private sector health insurance company reported a mixed set of quarterly results.
Its net profit rose 13.7 percent year-on-year to Rs 415 crore while its annual premium equivalent (APE) grew 11.9 percent to Rs 3,569 crore in the October-December period.
VNB’s life insurance margin, a key measure of insurance business profitability, contracted 70 bps to 26.1 percent in the December quarter.
According to Zee Business research, HDFC Life is estimated to register a third quarter profit of Rs 430 crore.
IL&T Tech (LTTS)
LTTS reported a set of quarterly numbers that were largely in line with the Street’s expectations.
OFSS
The company reported a mixed set of quarterly earnings.
CEAT
The tire maker’s quarterly consolidated profit fell to Rs 97 crore from Rs 181 crore last year.
Punjab & Sind Bank
The PSU bank registered a 2.5 times jump in its net profit to Rs 282 crore in the December quarter.
GAIL (INDIA)
PSU signed an agreement with SEFE Marketing & Trading Singapore.
Coal India Ltd (CIL)
The board of PSU miners is expected to meet on January 27 to consider the results of the company and the benefit of the eligible shareholders.
J Kumar Infraprojects
The company has bagged a Rs 1,073-crore order from NBCC.
LT food
The company has established a subsidiary under its name LT Foods Middle East LLC.
Exide Industries
The battery maker has invested Rs 150 crore in its equity subsidiary EESL.
RVNL
The company has placed an order worth Rs 3,622 crore from BSNL.
