In the American Express points division, the veteran Tour player and four-time winner holds the top spot on the leaderboard alongside a player still hoping for his first Tour title.
Charley Hoffman and Rico Hoey are 16-under par through two rounds and lead by one shot over the three closest to them – a group that includes Mark Hubbard, Sepp Straka and Justin Lower.
Hoffman hasn’t won on Tour since the 2016 Valero Texas Open while Hoey was runner-up at last year’s ISCO Championship.
