WAIKIKI, Hawaii (KHON2) – An early morning fight in Waikiki turned into a stabbing, leaving three people in the hospital.

Honolulu Emergency Medical Services responded to the incident near Kalakaua Ave and Keoniana St shortly after 4am.

Officials say two male patients, both in their 40s, were fighting. It is not clear which man started the fight and stabbing.
A 21-year-old woman who was passing by was also stabbed.
Paramedics performed life-saving treatment on the first man, who suffered stab wounds to the upper chest.
The second received injuries to his hands. Officials say they also treated the woman after she was stabbed in the back.
All three patients were transported to a local hospital.
