Arctic air and fresh snowpack will keep overnight temperatures cool throughout the week

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny, Clouds Late. Hello 16.

Arctic, cold air settled across Central PA earlier this week, and with fresh snowpack from Sunday, temperatures dropped overnight and will continue to do so overnight throughout the week. Lows this morning reached sub-zero temperatures in many backyards. Highs today will be in the new as the clouds move in. Winds won’t be much for the next few days, but even cooler air can add a chilly air that makes you feel even colder. Dress for the occasion when you need to be outside! Lows tonight will return to sub-zero readings and highs will again be on the low side Wednesday with more sunshine in the forecast than today.

On Thursday and Friday, high temperatures will rise slightly but look to stay below freezing. Until the weekend when temperatures return to seasonal levels. Actual weather this week looks calmer with cloudy days and some sunny days. The weekend remains quiet and seasonal as the next chance of active weather looks to be early next week. It’s too early to tell much, but light snow is possible on Monday. Stay tuned!
