Russia, Belarus is always blocked in hockey competition until at least in May 2026

Russia and Belarus must live free from the Ice Hockey Federation Federation Competition in the season 2025-26.

The IIHF decision on Tuesday includes all the World Championships and the successful Olyter Games of the Winter Olympics in Italy, though the Land Old Executive Committee has the final phrase.

“It is not safe to retrieve Russian and Belarusian national groups,” IIhf said, for “existing safety conditions do not allow the necessary requirements for the Competition Organization to ensure the safety of all.”
