Xander Schauffele called the “perfect storm” and lost eight weeks of golf course while he loved the season.

“I was sitting at home on the west coast, who got me,” he said. “One of my dreams to play Torrey South at the beginning of a long, cold, southern spirit. So taking Torrey twice really, he really sucked.
“I’ve tried. I hit other drivers Monday before Torrey Pines, and I tried to play nine holes and the doctors were worse. So that was a simple decision to make me, think about long-term goals. “
