Delhi’s maximum temperature remains at 21.5°C, AQI in the negative category
Delhi witnessed a sunny afternoon on Wednesday after a few cold days as the maximum temperature was 21.5 degrees Celsius, 2.5 notches hotter than the season’s normal. A very clear sky was seen during the day as the city was shrouded in fog in the morning with visibility down to zero.
Humidity levels fluctuated between 81 and 100 percent during the day, according to the weather department.
The maximum temperature on Wednesday rose significantly from 16.2 degrees Celsius recorded the previous day.
However, it was very cold on Wednesday as the minimum temperature dropped significantly to 7.4 degrees Celsius, compared to 10.5 degrees Celsius recorded on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the air quality was recorded in the “poor” category by reading 287 at 6 am, according to Central Pollution Control Board data.
The AQI stood at 334 in the “very poor” category at 9 am.
An AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘poor’ very’, and 401 and 500 ‘hard’.
