Meta orders tampons removed from men’s rooms amid post-Zuckerberg election shakeup: report

Meta’s major overhaul of its internal and external policies this week reportedly included the removal of tampons from the men’s rooms, according to another report.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced Tuesday that the company will end its controversial fact-checking practices and remove speech restrictions to “restore free speech” across Facebook, Instagram and Meta platforms, admitting that its content moderation practices are “too extreme.”
On Friday, Meta had completed its major diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
The New York Times reported on the changes Friday in a piece titled, “Inside Mark Zuckerberg’s Sprint to Remake Meta for the Trump Era,” warning, “The results are just beginning.”

Along with removing transgender and customization themes from its messaging app and changing its “Hateful Conduct” policy to allow criticism of gender identity, the company has played a major role in changing corporate culture in the office, according to The Times.

“At Meta’s offices in Silicon Valley, Texas and New York, facility managers were ordered to remove tampons from men’s bathrooms, which the company provided to non-gendered and transgender employees who used the men’s room and might need sanitary pads, two employees said. ,” reported the Times.
LGBTQ employees have reportedly gone into internal service stations, with at least one announcing his resignation, and others saying they will be looking for new jobs.

Meta Global Affairs CEO Joel Kaplan told Fox News Digital Friday that the move to end its diversity, equity and inclusion programs will ensure the company is “building teams with the most talented people.”
He added “This means evaluating people as individuals, and getting people from a pool of candidates, but never making hiring decisions based on protected characteristics like race or gender.”
As for the timing of changes to Meta’s fact-checking programs, Kaplan told Fox News Digital that the company “has a real opportunity now.”
“We have a new administration coming in that is far from forcing companies to re-evaluate [is more] a big supporter of free speech,” Kaplan said. “It brings us back to the values ​​that Mark founded the company on.”
