Bosch Q2 net profit down 46% to Rs 536 crore; revenue at Rs 4,394 crore
Auto company Bosch on Tuesday said its consolidated profit fell 46 percent year-on-year to Rs 536 crore in the September 2024 quarter.
The company reported a net profit of Rs 1,000 crore in the July-September quarter of last fiscal.
Operating income rose to Rs 4,394 crore in the second quarter compared to Rs 4,130 crore a year ago, Bosch Ltd said in a regulatory filing.
“Despite the unexpected rainfall and many economic factors affecting the overall performance of the automotive industry this quarter, we have demonstrated our ability to adapt to changing market demands and provide high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers,” said Bosch Ltd Managing Director Guruprasad Mudlapur.
The company expects continued demand in all segments driven by the holiday season in the next quarter, he added.
Along with investments in advanced technology and a strong commitment to local birth, the company will continue to deepen its efforts in high-growth areas and develop additional capabilities to cope with the changing travel landscape, Mudlapur noted.
Shares of the company settled 4.49 percent lower at Rs 33,394 apiece on the BSE.
