As at the beginning of this month, 285 centers – including traffic control towers and other areas – were under the processing media set by FAA and the union. At 73 of those areas, workers are so low that at least a quarter of the Work Force is lost.
The US air transport is always in the middle of the safety of the world. But the lack of persistent workers and the safety of a safe system has led to a shocking number of close telephones.
The shortage is difficult for the region of New York, where two important centers in Long Island work about 40 percent of unattended positions. These institutions guide the air traffic in some of the most vulnerable areas in the United States, including Newark, JFK and Laguaria, with 1,2 million combinations last year, according to New Jersey.
FAA did not immediately respond to the comment request.
The efforts of the remaining employment is continuing and training new controllers are expected to cross labor requirements, according to FAA PROJections. About three parts of the institutions will remain under the last levels of employees after a long training process.
