At least one person was killed and three others were injured near Vilnius

At least one person was killed and three others injured after a cargo plane crashed near Vilnius airport in Lithuania early Monday.
The Boeing 737, operated by DHL and the Spanish cargo airline Swiftair, crashed near the house on final approach, local authorities said.
All 12 people were safely evacuated from the area near the crash site, police said.
Rescuers said all those on the flight from Leipzig, Germany, have been accounted for.
The plane took off from the DHL terminal at Leipzig Airport shortly after 03:00 local time (02:00 GMT) and crashed an hour and a half later, according to data from the flight tracking website Flightradar24.
Flight operations are continuing at Vilnius airport as authorities respond to the crash, Flightradar24 told X.
Firefighters were seen tackling smoke from the building 1.3 kilometers (0.8 miles) north of the runway, Reuters news agency reported.
The cause of the accident is unknown and the Lithuanian authorities have started an investigation.
DHL confirmed that it belonged to the plane and said it had “arrived in an emergency”.
Authorities said they have no information yet to suggest there was an explosion before the crash.
The head of the fire and emergency service in Lithuania, Renatas Pozela, said that the plane was supposed to land at Vilnius airport and “crashed a few kilometers away”.
One person died in the four-member group, he added.
Mr. Pozela said that the house nearby was “destroyed” and the infrastructure nearby was also burnt down, but all the residents got out safely.
The plane was a Boeing 737-400, an airport spokesman said.
The reported weather before the crash was 0C (32F), with clouds before sunrise and winds of 30 km/h (19mph), the Associated Press reported.
The plane was 31 years old, AP added.
