David Bonderman 1942 – 2024

In the Bass group, David quickly received credit for taking low-feasts and often changes.
It was in Bass and when David met Jim Coulter, his business partner and investment for more than 38 years. In 1992 they left their bass and applied the brave to obtain Continental Airlines without being overwhelmed.
In 1993, after making that successful application, David, Jim and Bill Price established TPG. Investment of $ 66 million in Continental has finally made 10x profits and was a guide for various TPG investment methods.
TPG has been showing unique and complicated puppy – unhappily threatened, determined to meet financial restructuring and complexity, and consumes to restore strong management. And maybe, above all else, with the unique culture and cooperation. David, when he spoke of TPG and culture once said: “We went out of the family business. We had no adults who had spent at any time in the investment world, and it gave us different cultural standards and culture. You have a different idea of danger. You have a different view that life is about and allows us to do things that some people have not. Together, David, Jim and collected TPG from the three-population investor who has about 24 billion under the treatment and offices worldwide.
Throughout his TPG years, David’s new thinking included him in the center of many major changes – from the reorganization of airports and banking industries, traveling in front of large technical investigations and health care. David rebuilt the wide amazing and diversity of the investment and was a majority of some of the most well-known, complex, and teens in private equality history. Throughout David’s work, the factors did not touch and examine them. He was a widely informed leader, working on over 80 different businesses: from the General Motanair (US Government application to Oxford Health, from Mgm to Korea, and from Korea. First Bank to Fairmont Raffles. David is notified because of his frank judgment, intelligent understanding, and being unprofitable.
Despite David’s success, he did not change. He remained curious, meeting small businessmen to learn about their ideas. And he had a collection of unusual interests and pursuing them all over the world and made friends in the business, sport, music, helping people, environmental, and educational community.
It was not uncommon for a man to cry out in the room, but David was often humble, and he said that his power “could not know a lot about something but know enough to make a good decision.”
Although David is primarily known for his business skills, he was silent as a zealous spokesman of many causes, especially those related to conservation, education, health care.
