New Jersey Drones: House Speaker Johnson says he’s getting a classified briefing today

House Speaker Mike Johnson told Fox News that he is having a “secret briefing” Thursday in Washington about mysterious drones seen flying in New Jersey.
The Louisiana Republican, speaking to Fox News Senior Congressman Chad Pergram, called the situation “a paradox.”
“I’m going to try to get a hearing to see what we know, but the hearing isn’t that far out yet,” Johnson said.
“Is it a formal meeting today on that subject?” Pergram then asked.

So I’m eager to find out,” Johnson replied.
New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy recently told WNYC that his state government is discounting all theories about what could be the source of the drones.
“I have a lot of faith in the experts in the federal government who do this for a living. There is no evidence that anything is armed,” he said. “There are theories out there. Again, we don’t take anything off the table. Even if someone says something crazy without proof. We were moving everything.”

A New Jersey state senator has also called on the Department of Defense to investigate recent drone sightings at night amid growing public frustration over the lack of answers.
“Let me be clear: The state police, this is beyond their expertise … We know the Department of Defense has the expertise to monitor these drones,” State Sen. Jon Bramnick, RN.J., told co-conspirator John Roberts on Wednesday. in “America Reports.”

“The problem is we don’t have a Department of Defense in New Jersey at this time. And that’s what I’m asking for. Until the Department of Defense comes in, closes the airspace completely to drones, makes a limited emergency – no. drones in the sky until we find out what’s going on here,” Bramnick warned. But without the Ministry of Defense, we will not have the information because the technology is beyond the government officials.”
