California Rep. Nancy Pelosi has been hospitalized after being injured in Europe
WASHINGTON — Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco) was admitted to the hospital for evaluation after sustaining an injury during an official interview while traveling with a bipartisan congressional delegation in Luxembourg, according to her attorney.
“Speaker Emerita Pelosi is currently receiving excellent treatment from doctors and specialists,” her spokesman Ian Krager wrote in a statement. “He continues to work and regrets that he cannot attend the rest of the meeting [congressional delegation] conversations honoring the bravery of our servicemen during one of the greatest acts of American heroism in our nation’s history. ”
The trip to Luxembourg is to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge. Krager wrote that Pelosi was honored to travel with a delegation, many of whom had family members who fought in World War II – including her uncle, Johnny.
This is a developing story.
