Train derailment in Pecos, Texas, leaves 1 dead, 4 injured

A railroad derailment in Pecos, Texas, left one person dead and four injured on Wednesday.
Pecos City Manager Charles Lino said the incident began when a train hit a tractor trailer on the railroad tracks Wednesday evening.
The collision caused the train to derail and hit the Chamber of Commerce building.
It was not immediately clear whether the victims were inside the building or not.

Three vehicles were carrying potentially dangerous items at the time of the accident, but they were known.

Three of the victims were treated at Reeves Regional Health, while the fourth suffered serious injuries and was taken to an Odessa hospital for treatment.
