Bengals’ Zac Taylor’s warning to playoff teams: ‘They don’t want us in this tournament’

The Cincinnati Bengals needed to win all of their remaining games after losing on Dec. 1 Pittsburgh Steelers to have a chance to sniff this year’s postseason.

They did just that.

The Bengals have won their last five games of the regular season, including Saturday’s game against the Steelers, and at least have a shot at making the playoffs. They still need help with losses to the Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Bengals coach Zac Taylor fired a warning to all playoff teams.

“They know everything,” Taylor said, via the team’s website. “They don’t want us in this competition, I promise.”

The Bengals were 4-8 after losing to the Steelers on the first day of December but dug deep to do their part and have a shot at the postseason – albeit a slim one.

The New York Jets will face the task of ruining the Dolphins’ season while the Kansas City Chiefs have their hands full against the Denver Broncos.

Bengals chief Orlando Brown Jr. he said he would send messages at night, hoping that the two groups would deal with business.

“I hope everyone is taking care of business,” he said. “Some of the guys who haven’t been playing but will get a chance will hear about me. My message to Aaron Rodgers is that I will get his next trip to Peru.”
